We Can’t Earn It, But We Can Learn It!

I love my children whether or not they behave well, do everything I tell them to do, or act thankful for what I have given to them. If they obey me and have a thankful heart, it benefits them…that’s what I desire for them! Even still, I don’t give them my love on the basis of them earning it. I don’t withhold my love because they aren’t perfect. In fact, I have learned to hug and kiss them and tell them how much I love them when I am perhaps the most disappointed in their actions. I am always waiting and ready to embrace them in my love. (See Luke 15).

It’s my job to teach them right from wrong, but Love is a continual act of forgiveness. It is a promise between us. And yet, as much as I love my kids, I mess up all the time! But just think about this: I’m so very FAR from perfect, but our Heavenly Father IS perfect! I read in the Bible that “If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!” Matthew 7:11

I would be heartbroken if my kids wouldn’t receive my love and blessings! I love them because they are mine and because they are them! Just the way they are is more than enough for me to be head over heels in love with them! And our Heavenly Father loves us even more than that! Do you believe that? I know it breaks His heart when we refuse His love.

Deserving His love is not a factor! Β 

Messing up is not a factor!

Bad things that happen to us are not a factor!

These things don’t change His love for you.


So, think about the people you love with all your heart…then think about that God loves you even more than that!!

It’s so important to receive God’s love, grace and forgiveness because it’s essential to becoming a powerhouse of love, grace and forgiveness!Β  The relationship we share with God affects everything.


Once we believe and receive His amazing love, we are so full, it starts to overflow into every area of our lives…changing everything. It’s like liquid love flowing over everything. Then we will choose obedience because it comes from our heart of love! By grace we are saved, not by works!

You are loved, as His dearly loved children! Receive it! Meditate on it! Rejoice! Be thankful! Be blessed! πŸ™Œ

We can’t earn it, but we can learn it! Let Him teach you just how very much He loves you!

A Charge of Love

“What would you do if you believed that whatever you attempted, whether you soared or failed, would end in you being loved and held close by God? What would you attempt? Whom would you reach out to? Where would you let your heart lead you? The crazy thing is that we already have that security. We are assured of God’s presence throughout our lives, and yet, we hold back. We waiver. What we can be if only we dare to believe that we are forever loved. He tells us this is so, repeatedly, throughout the Bible. We cannot earn it, and we cannot lose it. So let us live in it and give it back to Him with no strings attached. Just freely, abundantly, and as best as we know how, unconditionally.”
