New Level = New Devil; Put Your Armor On!

New level = new devil!

A great lady I look up to says, “New level = new devil.” If you are following Christ, bringing others to Christ, and breaking strongholds in your life, opposition will come. I’m just gonna keep it real, right now my flesh would love to cry “uncle!” Seems like one thing after another keeps coming. But here’s what I know: when difficult people or circumstances try to wrap around us like a boa constrictor, we can be assured that the enemy is trying to take us out!

We can look at this opposition just like resistance training in the gym. It’s just going to make us stronger…our spiritual muscles are developing and we’re getting ripped! Sometimes we just need to recognize where the opposition is coming from and make a decision to stand firm in faith. “For we do not wrestle with flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over the present darkness, against spiritual forces, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.” Ephesians 6:12.

Things become a lot clearer!!!

Ephesians 6:10, 14-18a says, “Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. So stand ready, with truth as a belt tight around your waist, with righteousness as your breastplate,  and as your shoes the readiness to announce the Good News of peace. At all times carry faith as a shield; for with it you will be able to put out all the burning arrows shot by the Evil One.  And accept salvation as a helmet, and the word of God as the sword which the Spirit gives you. Do all this in prayer, asking for God’s help.

Start saying and praying out loud the word of God:

“God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble. I submit myself to you God! I resist the devil and he will flee!” James 4:6-7

“Don’t throw away your confidence, it will be richly rewarded! You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God , you will receive what He has promised.” Hebrews 10:35-36

“For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, love and of self-discipline.”  2 Timothy 1:7

“You, dear children, are from God and have overcome because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.” I John 4:4
“I have told you these things, so that in me (Jesus) you may have peace.  In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” John 16:33

Spiritual warfare is real and it’s difficult, but thank God we are fighting on the winning team! He’s already won! With God we will overcome and win the victory! No weapon formed against us will prosper!!
